There will be lots to share about India, its culture, history, people, food, religions, and cities. But first I thought I would start off with just a few sentences about what I will be doing there.
As most of you know, I received a Fulbright fellowship to do research and work in India for 9 months. It was a bit of surprise and I have spent the last month and a half getting all of the paperwork ready so I could go.
For my research, I will be affiliated with the Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore (IIMB). I will also be working with an organization, the Center for Knowledge Societies (CKS). I will be investigating how information and communication technologies (ICT) are being used in development projects. In particular, I want to see how partnerships among the private, public and non-profit sectors play a part in creating and implementing these projects. Definitely more to come about this...
